Horse drawn sleigh rides that get you very close to the 5,000 elk that winter in the valley. If you look east out the window and can probably see some of them! Dress warmly, particularly your feet. Tickets can be purchased at Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitors Center 532 N. Cache Street in Jackson.

Granite Hot Springs Swimming Pool

Granite Hot Springs is located in the Bridger –Teton National Forest and was constructed in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The Pool includes changing room and a deck. Pool is open year round. Great for the kids. In the winter, you can cross-country skiing in the 10 miles to the hot springs but it will probably take you three hours to get in and another three hours to ski out. If you are in good shape, go for it! Summer temp- 93 degrees. Winter temp- 112 degrees. It is about a 45 minute drive from the house. From Jackson drive south on Route 191 to Hoback Junction. When you come to Hoback Junction, do not take Pinedale Road to the right, instead, bear left on 191/187 for about 15 miles, look for sign for Granite Hot Springs and take left. The ride from the main road to the hot springs is about 10 miles on mostly dirt road, very bumpy.
